At a time when companies are increasingly committed to environmentally friendly solutions, there is a growing focus on the electrification of vehicle fleets. A key component of this transition is the installation of e-charging stations at company sites. This investment not only enables sustainable mobility for employees and customers, but also has financial and image-related benefits.
The reduction of CO2-emissions and the fight against climate change are the focus of public interest worldwide. Companies have a considerable responsibility to make their contribution. The introduction of e-charging stations is a significant step towards sustainability. They allow employees to charge their electric vehicles during working hours, which promotes the use of environmentally friendly transportation and reduces CO2-footprint of the company.
Investing in e-charging stations is not only an ecological decision, but also an economically sensible one. Many governments and local authorities offer financial incentives and support programs for companies that invest in the electrification of their fleets. These can take the form of grants, tax breaks or lower energy costs for operating the charging points. In the long term, companies can make significant savings by reducing vehicle operating costs, particularly through the use of electric cars.
Since February 2024, six charging stations have been installed at AP&S Plant 2 and four charging stations at AP&S Plant 1, each with 22 kW. The columns are open to the public, visitors can charge their cars here and employees pay a reduced price.
The next step is to switch from combustion engines to electric cars in the company's own vehicle fleet.
