"The productronica Innovation Award is a great and significant award. We are very proud to be this year's winner in the area of semi-conductors," says Sophie Hall, Director Product Engineering and R&D at AP&S, who accepted the award at the award ceremony on Tuesday, November 16.
Our colleague Andreas Hertz-Eichenrode, who had also traveled to the event, was also very pleased. The jury was impressed by the very product for which he was responsible for development and implementation as product developer and project manager in 2020 and 2021. We are talking about the CleanSurF®, a new AP&S cleaner for FOUPs, SMIFs, carriers and boxes. The product was launched on the market in spring 2021. The plant ensures maximum Cleanliness of all common wafer boxes according to the highest purity standards and thus contributes to safeguarding the process chains in semiconductor manufacturing. Both the overall concept and the individual innovations compared to existing cleaners were decisive for the win in the Semiconductors category.
"A great surprise. A week before the trade fair, we were told that we had been nominated for the productronica Innovation Award and invited to the award ceremony in Munich. The moment when AP&S was announced as the winner, that remains in my memory. Simply a great feeling. Thank you all, the entire CleanSurF® team, we have achieved this together," said Andreas Hertz-Eichenrode during his award speech at the AP&S Christmas party, which rounded off the exciting trade fair week on Friday, November 19.
